Well we all met up at the airport this morning bright and early at 8 am.  We where all very excited to be there and couldn’t wait to get on the plane and get going.  There was a slight delay waiting on the plane to get to our gate but other than that we where running on time.  When we had first boarded the plane and where getting settled into our seats we very quickly discovered that for some reason our flight attendant did not like us.  She got very upset with one of our adults who shall remain nameless (Mr. Hag), for pushing the help button for the two girls sitting in front of him as a joke.  Other that this our flight went very well even though it was one of the smallest planes I have ever seen... After arriving at the hotel we would be staying at we where all very happy to see Jim and made that very known to him.  We had a short meeting and Steve gave us a short devotional.  Tomorrow is looking to be a long day and so Jim sent us to bed pretty quickly for the night. Pray that throughout the week God uses us through words and actions to be a light to those around us.

Well it is that time of year again when the WMBC youth group is about to begin another mission trip.  We are looking forward to another year with many opportunities to share the gospel with those who may have never heard it before.  We will be going to the Washington D.C. area and will be ministering in the prisons as well as to local children in the area.  Please pray that God would use everything that we do to bring His name glory and that everything we say and do through the teaching and the music that we would be a light for those around us.  I will be trying to keep this updated throughout the week with photos and updates as to how things are going.  So for now just remember us as we get ready to leave.

Our Drive!

This is how far we have to go!

Leaving OH

We have just finished up our last concert and have just boarded the bus to come home. Everyone seems to be in a great mood! Sad that we have to leave these kids that we have attached too over the last week. Pray for safe journey and that we would all stay in high spirits for the next 24 hrs that we have cramped in a bus.

Friday (The Busy Day)

Friday
So today was the last day of sports camps. It went amazing! The kids were the best today
behavior wise and we had a blast. After finishing up with the sports camp we headed to an
inner-city mission to sing to the kids there. Little did we realize that this was going to be the
hardest concert of the trip. When we got there there where about 150 kids all running around
the gym at the facility and they did not seem to have any interest. When we finally got set up
and started the kids continually were being loud and very disruptive to the performance.
About the time we started Shackles though they got quiet and payed attention to the rest of the
performance. I really believe that we made a really positive impact on those kids. When we got
back to the church we had to set up for the "block party." We had invited all the kids from
the sports camps to come out and enjoy some food and awards that we had planned for the kids.
It went great! We had a final basketball game with the kids that the parents got to watch and cheer
them on with us. It was so hard to say goodbye to those kids with the realization that we will
probably never see them again. All in all I would definitely say that God has really moved in our
lives this week and we really hope that we have made an impact on these kids as well. Please
continue to pray as we have our final two concerts Sunday morning and afternoon here at FBC and
a men's shelter in downtown Cleveland.

Thursday!

Thursday
So today we had another great day of camps. As you can see from the pictures we definitely have some serious athletes that we get to work with. We have all gotten so attached to these kids and are so sad that we only have one day left with them. It has been amazing to see how our group has stepped up and been such a witness to these kids, between the loving and the testimonies these kids are getting to see God's love through our group.
