Friday (The Busy Day)

Friday
So today was the last day of sports camps. It went amazing! The kids were the best today
behavior wise and we had a blast. After finishing up with the sports camp we headed to an
inner-city mission to sing to the kids there. Little did we realize that this was going to be the
hardest concert of the trip. When we got there there where about 150 kids all running around
the gym at the facility and they did not seem to have any interest. When we finally got set up
and started the kids continually were being loud and very disruptive to the performance.
About the time we started Shackles though they got quiet and payed attention to the rest of the
performance. I really believe that we made a really positive impact on those kids. When we got
back to the church we had to set up for the "block party." We had invited all the kids from
the sports camps to come out and enjoy some food and awards that we had planned for the kids.
It went great! We had a final basketball game with the kids that the parents got to watch and cheer
them on with us. It was so hard to say goodbye to those kids with the realization that we will
probably never see them again. All in all I would definitely say that God has really moved in our
lives this week and we really hope that we have made an impact on these kids as well. Please
continue to pray as we have our final two concerts Sunday morning and afternoon here at FBC and
a men's shelter in downtown Cleveland.
